ABOUT OUR GLASSING STYLE

It is true that surfboards are weaker than they were 30 years ago. However, the demand for high performance surfboards these days is that they have to be light, particularly in small waves.

Light boards can be achieved 2 ways. One is to use very light foam, the downside is denting and of course snapping. The other is to use lighter weight glass and normal denser foam which can also snap if the glassing is sloppy. At Ghetto House Glassing we believe in the latter and fully understand that the type of glass has to be the best quality warp weaves available. Neat glassing practices means less sand throughs which makes for a laterally stronger board..
